// watch

A notebook with a second brain.

Quill tours the workspace: the slash menu, ghost text you keep with Tab, linked notes and the graph, answers cited from your own notes, the journal and the weekly review, and sealed notebooks with the AI kept out.

// how it works

An editor first. A brain second.

step 1

Write like you think

Slash commands, drag-and-drop blocks, tables, toggles, code, math and wiki-links. The document lives on your device first and syncs when it can — offline is the normal case, not an error.

step 2

Let it finish your thought

Ghost-text autocomplete appears as you pause and vanishes when you keep typing. One-click rewrites, translations and action items — tighter, longer, plainer, in another language — go through the ordinary undo history.

step 3

Ask your own notes

The chat answers only from what you wrote and cites the notes it drew on — in one notebook or all of them, kept as conversations you can come back to. When your notes do not contain the answer, it says so instead of inventing one.

// the honest trade

A note the AI can read is a note the server can read.

So the choice is yours, per notebook. A normal notebook gets the whole second brain — search, autocomplete, chat, tags. A sealed notebook is encrypted on your device before anything is saved, and every AI feature is switched off for it by absence rather than by a setting: the capability does not exist for those notes, on the server or off it.

One app, both postures — without pretending the trade away.

// what you get

Built to be kept, not kept in.

A map of what you know
Every [[link]] and tag drawn as a graph you can explore, and beside each note the others that read like it — found from what they say, not from what you remembered to link.
Days and to-dos
A journal with one note per day on a calendar, a writing streak on a year of activity, and every open to-do from every note gathered into one list.
Sealed notebooks
Some notes are nobody’s business. A sealed notebook is encrypted on your device with a passphrase that never leaves it — the server stores only ciphertext, so AI and search honestly stay out rather than being quietly weakened.
Sync without conflicts
Every note is a CRDT: edits from two devices merge instead of fighting, an offline edit is recovered on the next open, and there is no "which copy wins" dialog anywhere.
Version history
Snapshots are taken automatically as you write. Restoring one is itself an ordinary edit — so restoring the wrong version is undoable, and the history after it survives.
Your notes leave with you
Export everything as markdown, including sealed notes — assembled on your device, the only place they exist in plaintext. Notion zips import straight in.

// get started

Start writing. The brain grows with the notes.

A daily note is one keystroke away, and the first thing you ask it will be answered from that.
